We moved to South Africa in 2015 with our 3 little doggies, Hope, my little Pomeranian who sadly passed in 2019, Poppy, the CEO of Poppy’s Pampered Pooches & Alfie our little guy who was rescued during a huge flood in the UK. Within a few months of living in SA we started to help out at our local rescue charities working with dogs in the rural areas, which broke our hearts. We decided to help by fostering dogs whilst they looked for their forever homes. We fostered & failed with every dog we took home (worst foster parents in the world) but win win for the rescue dogs & us of course! This is when we decided dogs are our passion, infact animals have always been our passion since we were both young children. We decided we have to do something working with animals as this is what makes both our hearts truly happy. (How lucky are we that we both share such passion)
Founders of Poppy’s Pampered Pooches, we like many others out there have always had a ginormous love for our family pets and going away for a mini break was just the hardest thing for us, leaving our babies in someone else’s hands. We spent our break away constantly stressing about our furkids and just couldn’t relax until we got home to see them. We decided that we would love to offer our loving service to those who are like minded & like us refuse to use a kennelling service.
Our little business has grown drastically over the last couple of years all by word of mouth and it brings us so much joy to know that we can keep both our human customers happy as well as our furry customers who visit us!
